1. What should I do if I don't receive a confirmation email?

FareOrbitz is a flight search and travel deals website. If you haven't received a confirmation from the airline or travel agent you booked with, first check your junk folder. If it's not hiding in there and you still haven't received an email after 24 hours, you'll need to contact your airline or travel agent.

2. How can I change or cancel my booking?

You'll need to contact the airline or travel agent you booked with as we do not hold nor have any access to individual travel records.

3. I don't know who I booked my flights with. How do I find out?

The company you booked with should appear on your booking confirmation.

4. I'm not sure if my booking went through. How do I find out?

Don't try to book again - you could end up with two bookings. Contact the company you booked with directly to confirm if the transaction was successful.

5. Is hold baggage included in the prices shown?

Prices online are usually for flight fares only but they will include mandatory fees such as airport and fuel taxes. Hold baggage is often an extra cost. You would need to check the baggage price and allowance on the airline/agency site and add this on as you go through the booking process.

6. Do I have to pay something extra to print a boarding pass at the airport?

It depends on airlines and the airport you’re flying from.

7. How do I request a special meal for my flight?

Most airlines now charge for in-flight meals or no longer offer a meal service. You have an option to place a meal request when you purchase tickets online, by a travel agent or you can call the airline directly. Special meal requests must be done at least 24-hours prior to the scheduled departure. These requests are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of the airline.

8. How do I select my seats?

You can request seat assignments at the time of booking or you can call the airlines after the booking.Although we pass your seating request to the respective airlines (wherever applicable), we cannot guarantee that the request will be honored.

Please note:

  • Some airlines now charge for seat assignments and many airlines restrict pre-assigning of seats. Some airlines may only assign seats 90 days prior to flight departure.
  • Bulkhead and emergency exit row seating are controlled by the airline and cannot be pre-assigned. These seats may be blocked by the airlines and held for check-in at the airport on the day of departure.
9. Why did the fare increase when I tried to book my flight?

Airfares can change minute by minute based on demand and availability. Between the time of your flight search and actual booking, seat inventory in a particular booking class (fare) may sell out. Airlines then offer their available inventory at a higher price : We monitor these changes closely and make every effort to keep inventory and fares in our displays as current as possible.

10. I have to cancel my flights. Can my tickets be refunded?

Most discounted airline tickets are non-refundable. Although non-refundable tickets are the most economical, they are also the most restrictive and do not allow refunds. These restrictions make it possible for CheapOair to continue to offer special sale fares in addition to our existing deeply discounted airfares. Please note, refund restrictions are documented on our website. You must agree to these terms and conditions prior to booking any reservation by selecting "Yes" to our contract agreement. Once you decide to cancel a reservation, you are subject to the terms of the cancellation, as stated in our "Terms and Conditions".
